Today we started our home reading and spelling programs!
Rather than completing the “traditional” reading log, this year we are going to explore lots of different and fun ways to read at home. Every time your child completes one of these tasks, please initial the box, add the title of the book to the back of the page and have them colour in the square. The goal is to complete as many of these tasks as you can by the end of the month! A new BINGO card with different reading experiences, will come home each month. Please keep the BINGO sheets in the duotang. You are welcome to read books we send home from school, public library books or books from your own personal book collections.
We will not be sending our spelling home this week. We want to establish some routines within the class first, and then we will send them home at a future date.
In math we counted money to practice skip counting to 100!
