December 5 - Please Read

For Christmas concert costumes, please look for items of clothing that are red and white, as we are singing songs from Canada. A Canada t-shirt, or Canada Day attire work as well.

Please have your child practice their lyrics at home!

Canada Is…
Written by Steve Hyde and Eric Robertson
Here the link for the tune of the song: Canada Is...

Shout: “Canada Is… (say dot dot dot!)the first time (only)

CHORUS
Holidays in the Rocky Mountains
Holidays on Prince Edward Island
Canada is a country made for love
Holidays for the prairie cowboy
Holidays for the Yukon miner
Canada is a country made for love.

We have love for our neighbours
Of whatever creed or colour
We have love for our cities
And our valleys and our plains
We have a voice that is calling
Telling all the world we’re willing
To celebrate in this great land
And that’s what Canada is

CHORUS

We have faith in our peoples
We’re ready for tomorrow
We have faith in our vision
For a future hand in hand

We have a voice that is calling
Telling us to keep on hoping
For love will bind this vast land great
And that’s what Canada is

CHORUS

We have peace in our valleys
We sing and dance together
We have peace in our hearts now
And we celebrate with joy!
We have a voice that is calling
Telling all the world we’re willing
To celebrate in this great land
And that’s what Canada is

 CHORUS

Today we wrote about what we would do if we were a snowflake, reindeer, snowman, or a monster.

This afternoon we went over our results for our boats and discussed with Mrs. Kelly's class in partners how we could improve them. Tomorrow we will improve our boats and see if our results are better!
