February 27

This morning we wrote the beginning of our story. First we talked about how to make our story exciting by starting with a character speaking, or a sound. We did an example as a class, explaining our characters and our setting. Then we read over our own work and consulted with our peers to add more detail.

Today in gym we created our own dances with a partner. Here are some pictures:

In math we experimented with scales. Our job was to make both sides equal (or the same).

Next month we will be having another Math Month from March 2 to March 18! Over the course of these few weeks, our class will be working together on many math word problems and riddles. We will be keeping our progress and showing our thinking on our bulletin boards, which will be available for you to view during parent teacher conferences next month.

Unfortunately, we have realized that many of our Ozobots (mini robots) that were generously funded by our School Council, have gone missing from the Learning Commons.
The Ozobots are used for many different projects in the LC and they might have been mistaken as a "take home" part of a finished project.  If you took an Ozobot home, please return it to your teacher.
