In Social Studies we read about Nunavut. We read about what people used in the past and now to travel around to places in the snow. They used to use dogs and now most of the time they use snowmobiles. One of the natural resources is a fish called Arctic char. They used fishing rods for ice fishing. They clean out the fish and don't eat the insides. On the boats they use nets to get shrimp.
We put water on some watercolour paper, then painted with watercolours, and then we put salt on it.
In math we measured around our head and from our shoulder to our wrist to find out which was longer. We also worked on expanded form of numbers. We are doing great with expanded form!!
Tomorrow is wear math day!! What math do you see in your clothing?
