January 7

Today we talked about what temperature is and how we measure it. As a class we discussed that temperature compares things that are cold and hot. 

In our table groups we generated a list of different animals we have in our community. Then we wrote down questions and wonderings about how they survive in the winter and where they go. We are going to explore these questions in the next few weeks.

 

In math we practiced estimating. We used referents or groups of 10 to help give us a reference point.
